This Republic day nostalgia gripped me & I travelled down the memory lane .The picture posted by Autar Mota ji reminded me of Republic day celebrations of 1958 .My dad , late Mr. Mohan Raina represented J&K , designed & executed the tableau , " Winter In Kashmir " alongwith my grand father , Pt. Shiv Nath Raina & uncle ,Sh. Pran Nath . The picture taken on that occasion which is one of the series has my father ,Late Mohan Raina (Maker of the J&K state emblem) with specs & moustache standing behind Panditji .On his right with muffler is my grand father ,Pt. Shiv Nath ,on his right is my uncle ,Sh. Pran Nath who lives in Amritsar. Being eldest amongst four siblings I was pampered & had a very close proximity with my dad
So ,he would take me along with him .We had mutual fondness for each other .The little cute boy on the left of Panditji with garlands which we had exchanged,I was told is me ,Sudesh ! It was for the first time that J&K tableau was adjudged as the best amongst all states & got the first prize .It makes me proud !
