Portrait of Late Sh.Vasudev Thussu,Great Grand Father of Sh.Ravi Thussu( IAS ) Ex Commissioner Secretary,Govt. Of J&K.
Sh.Ravi Thussu's father,Late Sh.J.N.Thssu(Retd.Under Sec.) and Mohan Raina were maternal cousins.Rainas were at Badiyar and Thussus at Kralkhud, Habba Kadal.Being cousins and living in the same area they were quite pally and would often meet.
Sh.Janki Nath Thussu wanted my dad, Mohan Raina to make his (Thussu Sahab's) grand father's portrait. Dad liked the suggestion and did it.
I wish to convey my profound Thanks to Sh. Ravi Thussu for allowing me to photograph this portrait which he has religiously preserved as th pride possession of his father and hangs prominently in the family's reception/drawing room at Gandhi Nagar in Jammu.
