ANOTHER VISITOR TO DEWAN KHAN

 In the later years is this gentleman who instantly comes to my mind and deserves a special mention,.
BANSI LAL WALI known as BANSI NIRDOSH in literary circles was
born in 1930 to renowned journalist and writer;Pt. Shyam Lal Wali at Badiyar Bala,srinagar.

I have often seen Nirdosh Sahab having some discussions with my father, Late Mohan Raina who introduced him to his brother,Dr. M. K..Raina (Retd.Prof. and H O D,Zoology,University Of Kashmir).

Bansi Nirdosh started his career as a journalist with Urdu daily,"Naya Zamana" in Amritsar.After returning to Kashmir he got connected with AIR as a writer and a presenter.

He was a prolific writer who wrote novels and short stories in Kashmiri language.some of which have been translated in Hindi .
Nirdosh ji has written more than hundred plays for Radio Kashmir.He also wrote serials for Door Darshan.
Some of his much acclaimed works are ; AKH DAUR, MUKJAR and ,BAL MARAYO etc.

Nirdosh Sahab during his tenure with AIR and DoorDarshan engaged my uncle, Dr.M.K.Raina for various talk shows on Scientific Topics to be relayed of which one Program which i remember vividly was on Snakes . The program was extensively discussed in our DEWAANKHAAN for three days in succession.
I remember Bansi Nirdosh Sahab as a warm and suave gentleman with a lot of creativity.
After leaving Badiyar, Walis shifted probably to Sanat Nagar.
Nirdosh Sahab passed away on 21-08-2001,May His soul rest in eternal peace.
